The development of clean energy has become the inevitable choice in China’s energy strategy. Wind power is sustainable and it is cleaner than conventional energy. China's wind power industry has developed significantly in recent years. It has seen a 100% growth rate in two consecutive years, and with 3450 MW installed capacity in 2007 it comes second only to the US and Spain – demonstrating how China has become one of the fastest growing wind power markets in the world.
The successful operation a of Wind Mill requires a reliable and real time monitoring solution, as Mr. Rajiv Oberoi, Director (Sales) at Viola Systems, explains. A large proportion of the maintenance costs can be reduced if critical components that are close to failing can be detected by "early warning signals". Real time monitoring is crucial for the optimal operation of the Wind Mill, and this also enables the manufacturers to achieve higher performance and provide longer warranties.
Viola Systems have appointed Loho Ltd. in China as their exclusive partner to take care of the local market, and to achieve integration with the other Wind Mill network devices. Mr Bruce Zhuang, Business Manager for Loho notes that the management of all the data for a Wind mill in real time and in a secure manner has always presented problems. He points out that the Viola solution provides a solution that is quick and ready-to-deploy – characteristics that are extremely valuable in remote field operations.
Loho will be showcasing Viola’s communication solutions in the forthcoming Wind Power Asia Trade Fair (www.windpowerasia.com) in Beijing, China, 8th–10th July 2009.
Viola is specialized in industrial-grade wireless solutions that seamlessly link together remote devices and sites using public networks such as GPRS / 3G.
