Viola provides a range of ready-to-use products that provide secure and reliable wireless connectivity to a wide range of industrial customers. The products are deployed by companies in the fields of electrical distribution, oil and gas, telecommunications, water management, security, and traffic and weather monitoring stations.
Some of the key features for our products are:
- Data security in wireless transmission through internal firewalls and encryption
- Viola Patrol – Application for remote devices monitoring
- Two-way / bidirectional connectivity though VPN
- Reliable communication through internal watchdog features
- Complete end-to-end solutions between a central point and field devices
- Compatible with various protocols including IEC 101, IEC 103, IEC 104, DNP 3.0 and Modbus
- For low operational costs, protocol conversion is undertaken from IEC 101 to IEC 104, or from Modbus to IEC 104
- No installation charges, since the products use a local public network such as GPRS / EDGE / 3G
- Can use ordinary SIM cards provided by the local operator
- Fixed IP addresses are provided for remote devices using Viola's own M2M Gateway
- Robust, industrial-grade design, engineered for harsh and demanding environments

With Arctic IEC-104 Gateway conventional IEC-101 devices can be attached to a modern TCP/IP based IEC-104 control system using cellular networks (GPRS/EDGE). This is possible because of the protocol conversion from IEC-101 to IEC-104 (and vice versa) made by Arctic IEC-104 Gateway. |

Arctic RTU provides wireless monitoring and control of field devices via GPRS/EDGE from central control systems like SCADA. Several interfaces are available for field device connectivity: Digital inputs and outputs, analog inputs, two serial and Ethernet ports. When these interfaces are supported with industrial protocols, IEC-104 or ModbusTCP, Arctic RTU is capable for seamless integration of different kind of field devices to central control system. |
